IMPOSSIBLE ENGINEERING
Contemporary evolution of the test-winning board that really started the freerace craze for technical windsurfers seeking the impossible: maximum speed combined with comfort, control and jibing precision. The Starboard Futura offers maximum average speed with total confidence and comfort.
THE FUTURE STARBOARD IN DETAIL
Perfect for long distances, or just endurance racing at the local beach, the Futura concept builds on iSonic DNA with a wide, moderately slim and compact sleeve. The width gives you wind range and power. Reasonable rail thickness provides power and improves controlled leverage over the fin. A slimmer profile on the neck track lowers the center of gravity for greater control. Optimized posture for longer, safer fast runs. The Starboard Futura allows you to reach your maximum potential in a more accessible and easy-to-use package. Save energy, maintain a high average speed for miles, and do sport jibes.
A board where you will get the maximum performance, maximum speed with a lot of control and stability thanks to its beam and low point of gravity. With a wide wind range and easy to use.
WOOD SANDWICH
LIGHTWEIGHT BOARDS DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP AS OUR LOWEST CARBON FOOTPRINT
Developed by Jean Louis Colmas in 1984, Wood Technology became Starboard's trademark in 1995. Wood Technology remains a favorite for riders who prefer more comfort, more control and the unique, cool feel of an original Starboard. It's time to bring back this technology while reducing our CO2 footprint. Sandwich lamination of 0,6mm Australian pine full wood over 3mm modern and recyclable PET core foam ensures durability and comfort in a good strength-to-weight ratio. Today's wood is less visible in modern graphics; Protected against UV rays by fresh blue paint and decals that complement the natural grain to a really nice effect. An elegant reissue of a classic Starboard Original.
