THE FOIL X WING IN DETAIL
Evolved from the Foil X model, the same features that make the Foil The extended flat bottom shapes make the board accelerate, gather speed and reach take off speed with less power. The rail cut-aways help you sink the tail to pop up onto the foil, and the wide nose and tail outline deliver confidence and stability.

TWO FOIL CONFIGURATIONS
- The two extra long US boxes extend all the way to the tail of the foil, offering an ideal positioning for both wing and wind foiling.
FOOTSTRAPS POSITION ADAPTED TO WINGFOIL
- The Foil X Wing has two insert options: outboard strap positions for windfoiling and centered strap positions for wingfoiling.
LEASH INSERTS FOR WINGFOILING
- There are two leash inserts, one on the back and another on the front of the board. The back insert is for the leash that goes to your ankle, while the front one is for riders who like to secure the wing to the board rather than their wrist.
MAST TRACK INSERT
- This discreet insert allows you to fit the mast base and attach the sail for windfoiling.
MINI CARRY-HANDLE
- The new mini carry-handle on the bottom makes it easier to carry board and sail or wing together. The Starboard-exclusive handle design is reduced in size to not affect the glide of the board through the water and the hollow internal cavity makes it easy to grip and carry.
HALF-DECK EVA PAD
- The large EVA deck pad covers the center area of the board for wingfoiling and the tail of the board for windfoiling.
- The Drake footstraps are made with FSC-certified, sustainably-sourced and plant-based Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% of synthetic neoprene is kept to improve UV resistance.

The result is a great combination, delivering strongly on all four criteria with direct, responsive onwater feel and no compromise on your riding comfort.
WOOD SANDWICH
OUR MOST DURABLE CONSTRUCTION
- Jean Louis Colmas started the development of wood sandwich boards in 1985 and by 1994 we introduced his technology in our production. This collaboration led to multiple world championships titles across all disciplines in Windsurfing and it remains an original Starboard. 0.6 mm Australian pine laminated deck increases impact strength while natural unidirectional fibers create awesome reflex sensations. With 500 kg/m3 density, the Pinewood absorbs minimal resin leading to a light board and crisp ride feel. The entire board is wrapped in a 3mm PVC sandwich for long term durability and that classic feel under foot. A protective film covers the wood to hinder the sun's UV impact over time.
