THE CARVE IN DETAIL

The exciting new Carves offers great effortless planing, autopilot jibing and controlled handling in any conditions. We have never been so satisfied with a range of boards. Each board is individually shaped for the intended conditions and skill level. In larger sizes, a long, flat section facilitates passive gliding and a smooth ride so you can find your footstraps effortlessly. The mid-range sizes fit like a small board, but by changing your stance and turning the sail you have the confidence of a larger board, thanks to a combination of tapered rails toward the tail and thicker front rails. The small sizes provide a true sporty feel with a higher top speed and that extra control you'll need to windsurf confidently in strong winds.

SPORTS NOSE

Look at that nose. Doesn't it just seem to have a purpose? But not only that, those concaves soften the impact and create more lift, improving gliding performance in light winds.

GRAVITY CONTROL SYSTEM
The improved deck concave creates a lower center of gravity for momentum and power generated through the equipment. Keeps the board stable and planted while blasting through tougher, jibey conditions.

CONFIDENCE IN STORM CONDITIONS
The optional internal stance with mid-position rear foot strap gives more control to storm riders.

CUTS
Inspired by our iSonic racing line, the new double steps improve glide and acceleration.

WATER DROP TAIL
The carefully refined underwater shape in the tail maximizes earlier glide while reducing drag at higher top speeds.

FLAT EXTENDED ROCKER

Easy passive brushing without any effort. Extending the flat section of the tail rocker forward on the Carves allows easier acceleration to a more natural glide threshold, while maintaining glide through the wind holes and reducing the critical dependence on trim to board.

A FIXED AND COMFORTABLE POSTURE
Drake Slick Foot Straps are made with plant-based, FSC-certified, sustainably sourced Yulex foam. With 85% natural rubber content, the CO² emitted during the manufacturing process is reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% synthetic neoprene is retained to improve UV resistance.
Carefully crafted from the softest fabric for a comfortable feel.
Underfoot, 10mm thick pads with a diamond groove pattern will provide the necessary grip and comfort for long sessions while remaining resistant to wear and tear.

DRAKE FREERIDE FIN
Drake Freeride fin for great control. Combining fluid, natural turns with straight-line efficiency and confidence, each Carve fin is carefully specified and optimized to enhance exciting, responsive performance.

The Carve 139, 149 and 159 Wood Sandwich come with a box ready to wrap. The Carve 139, 149 and 159 present a great crossover option of a board for advanced intermediates, alongside our more dedicated Foil Freeride and Foil X boards.
