SEVERNE FOIL FREEK _FOILSTYLE
The new Severne FoilFreek has a higher aspect to minimize any fore and aft movement of the power in the sail, keeping it balanced directly on the foil. Taller sails provide more leverage, improving light wind efficiency. And longer, stiffer masts allow for greater surface tension for better control of strong winds.
The Severne FoilFreek uses the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY. The corners have overlapping panels, reducing the number of patches. At the same time, these overlapping areas extend into the body of the sail, so the load transition is much better and stretches less over time. It is a more stable way of building sails.
Instead of a single curved luff panel, the Severne FoilFreek uses separate panels that radiate from the head and corners of the tacks. This perfectly aligns the sail material with the direction of the load. Previously the curved panel would have partial stretch in all the wrong places. Direct energy transmission. Greater longevity.
Sizes 4.8 to 5.6 can be mounted on a 430 RDM mast, and sizes 4.0 to 4.8 can be mounted on a 400. (4.8 is the crossover size, can be mounted on either)
