CAN I USE AN RDM MAST INSTEAD OF AN SDM MAST?
The time in the water will increase for each rider, Convert equipment is installed on SDM and RDM masts.
CAN I USE A LARGER MAST THAN THE RECOMMENDED? WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I DO THAT?
We do not recommend using a mast larger than recommended.
The latest generation convert has a fixed top, which means you will not be able to adjust the bow of the sail.
Regarding performance, a longer mast will make the sail stiffer and less forgiving.
WHAT TYPE OF MAST IS BEST FOR SAILING??
It is always best to use the SEVERNE neck that the Convert was designed with.
The supported RDM masts are RDM Red, RDM Blue y Gorilla.
Supported SDM masts are Apex and Arc.
CAN I USE A NON-SEVERNO MAST?
All our development, evidence, rigging and adjustments are made using SEVERNE masts.
We strongly recommend our customers to use SEVERNE masts.
Our masts are designed with a specific SEVERNE curvature which remains one of the pillars of our equipment.
We do not test the performance or bending curves of other masts and, Thus, We cannot guarantee what performance or durability you can get from your sail by using a different brand mast. We describe the curve of our mast as a SEVERNA curve.
The constant curves, rigid or flexible that describe the generic mast markings are based on measurements of 3 points.
We measure our masts in 7 minimum points.
