For 2023, the Switchblade has been greatly improved, but have no fear because the Cabrinha Switchblade 2023 remains true to its character. For 2023, Cabrinha uses three different material blends in the struts and leading edge with unique properties. The Cabrinha Switchblade 2023 is designed with the Hybrid frame. The hybrid frame is a combination of High Tenacity Dacron (HTD) and HTD Lite, giving the kite the stiffness it needs, but with greater response. The kite sail has been given a new, refined light sail design which, together with the new ultralight bladders, reduces the weight of the entire kite and ensures more responsive performance. The fabric is made from Nano Ripstop fabric, which Cabrinha says is the foundation for durability, stability, and responsiveness. This canopy consists of four times more squares per square centimeter than the normal canopy. This makes the fabric stiffer and the kite responds faster to steering movements. The bridle has been replaced with a much less elastic bridle, giving you an even more direct feel with the kite. During your jump or kiteloop, you always feel exactly where the kite is in the wind window, making it easier to get your timing right.
