For years, the Slingshot RPM was made to give pop and slack. They made the perfect trim and helped several world champions to their title. The mission of the 2019 RPM changed about this but without eliminating anything. Slingshot has changed the RPM as the sport is changing. The RPM is now designed with a more big air approach. The new RPM is the most versatile kite with more freestyle performance.

– New modified Open C shape: They have reduced the open C arc of the RPM in favour of a deep C. This is a significant change to the kite, on the beach it may look the same, but in the air anyone who knows the RPM will see and feel the difference for sure. This difference in shape has a big impact on performance – remarkable power throughout the kite, structural stability, hangtime, and control in the air.

– New FlyLine bridle: This is a combination with the previous moodels that had pulleys and IRS elastic. Slingshot has introduced pulleys to give more structural stability and more dynamic steering. They then replaced the pulleys with the elastic IRS system to give a more direct feel and sweeter power so the kite came out of the window more. The FLYLINE bridle combines the pulley and spring system to give a new configuration to be faster, fly higher and have a more powerful RPM than ever before.

– New LoadShift: The new FLYLINE bridle configuration and the location of the pulley and elastic give the RPM 2019 a dynamic like no other kite has ever given before. This is what best describes the `Load Shift’ the FLYLINE bridle transfers power from tip to tip. Where other kites roll under the load or loop in the tips, the new RPM distributes the load around the cloth resulting in more ducted, cleaner and more powerful performance.

NEW OPEN-C PROFILE

NEW FLYLINE BRIDLE

New for 2019, the FlYLINE bridle combines a pulley and an elastic. The combination gives more power, higher jumps and more structural stability in the cloth.

NEW LOAD SHIFT

Where other kites roll up on the tips in the water or in the air the new load shift of the new RPM distributes the power to the tips for more powerful performance.

BOMBER SLINGSHOT CONSTRUCTION

Strategic panel, reinforced seams, Evlar patches, ripstop cloth, d2 trailing edge and polyurethane on the bladers make the Slingshot kites the most durable on the market.

SPLITSTRUT

The Split strut is an innovation that integrates the ribs on one side of the cloth. This gives a better stiffness to the kite and makes it fly better and gives an aerodynamic construction.
